The presence of an active biological agent in green tea, known as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is considered to be quite effective in treating cancer. A study published in Medical News Today reported that the intravenous administration of Green Tea Compound showed effective shrinkage in tumor cells. The direct administration of EGCG to tumor cells resulted in shrinkage of two-thirds of tumors in just one month.

2.Ashwagandha

Also known as Indian ginseng, Ashwagandha stands out as one of the most important medicinal herbs in Ayurvedic medicines. Lastly, I have another amazing medicinal plant, holy basil which is also known as ‘Tulsi’. Tulsi is usually cultivated for religious and traditional medicine purposes through its extract and oil. Research and studies have shown that it consists of active chemical compounds, known to kill cancer cells and preventing chemically induced liver, lung, oral and skin cancers. Also, it has been classified as an adaptogenic herb. The adaptogens supplement the body to handle stress and optimize the cortisol levels. High cortisol levels increase the risks of cancer, hence consuming tulsi extract or tulsi leaves in tea is beneficial to prevent the risk of cancer.
