According to researchers, there are 14 different meridians in the human body which carry energy. They begin at the fingertips making a connection to the brain and also making a connection with the organs which are linked to the associated meridian. The traditional Chinese medicine mentions over 800 important energy points along the meridians running from the head to heels and on both sides of the spine. Acupressure can be used as a reliable medium for self-treatment. The pressure can be applied by our own hands to get rid of the tension in different body organs. According to this method, all the different aspects of body, spirit, emotions and our mind are treated in a unified manner. They are not regarded separately. This medium helps to make balance in the important life forces present in the body. It also eliminates the muscular tension in our body.
