The environment or climate around you is moderate and all of sudden you start sweating like pig! But why? The research conducted by the North American Journal Of Medical Sciences  found out that there was improvement in the patients’ fatigue after the restoration of Vitamin D. Another study from the University of Tulsa led to the findings, that athletes who had low level of Vitamin D were weak in athletic activities. A study published on PubMed examined the association between vitamin D levels and back pain in more than 9,000 older women. The researchers found that those with a deficiency were more likely to have back pain, including severe back pain that limited their daily activities.

4. Unexplained Hair Loss

Hair loss has been always associated with stress or other scalp disorders like dandruff, yeast infection or alopecia. However, if you’re facing inexplicable hair loss then, it could possibly be due to lack of Vitamin D in your system.

This might be because Vit, D stimulates the hair follicles and promotes hair growth. So when the body doesn’t get enough Vitamin D, the hair may be affected. Also, one research showed that people with alopecia areata have much lower levels of vitamin D than people who do not have alopecia.

The science behind this is that vitamin D deficiency can lead to impaired brain function. Robert J. Przybelski, a doctor and research scientist at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health states,

We know there are receptors for vitamin D throughout the central nervous system and in the hippocampus. We also know vitamin D activates and deactivates enzymes in the brain and the cerebrospinal fluid that are involved in neurotransmitter synthesis and nerve growth.

Hence, lack of Vitamin D can cause depression as a study conducted in earlier 2005 indentified vitamin D receptors in the same areas of the brain associated with depression.

How to Avoid Vitamin D Deficiency?

The first thing you can do is to have enough sun bath, as you can get all the necessary elements of Vitamin D directly from the sun. 

Besides, load your calories with Vitamin D. Eat food like Salmon, Swordfish, Sardines and Tuna, as they are one of the best sources of Vitamin D. Likewise, Eggs, Cheese, Mushrooms, Orange Juice, Milk, Cereal or Yogurt are also other major sources of vitamin D. Or you can also simply take a vitamin D supplement to meet the daily dose of the vitamin that’s required for your daily function.
